Website design features

The Yemen Microfinance Network (YMN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in August 2010 within the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), through a joint initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Social Fund for Development (SFD), as the national microfinance association of Yemen. YMN is registered under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor as a member-based association, and its membership includes more than 95% of the microfinance institutions operating in Yemen. These include microfinance banks, institutions, companies and programs, business development service providers and other stakeholders in the sector.

YMN serves its members and the industry by providing technical assistance, implementing projects, and offering training and capacity building to its member microfinance institutions; facilitating sector transparency and information sharing; research and development; and advocacy and promotion of the microfinance sector. All of this makes YMN a platform for all key stakeholders and an umbrella under which microfinance institutions can operate, grow, and increase their scale, quality and outreach to serve low-income families, micro-entrepreneurs and small business owners, including women and youth.
